Update on In-Person Services

Beloved in Christ,

We received news that the Diocese of Maryland has asked us to suspend in-person Eucharist due to increased COVID-19 Numbers until, at the very least, November 29, 2020.

The staff and the vestry have been steadily preparing for this eventuality.

Our parish has made the much-needed investment to stream the Eucharist at 9:30 AM on Sundays. While I know that the cessation of in-person worship creates a sense of profound loss, we are grateful for our ability to live-stream Eucharist and the ability to worship together on-line at 9:30 AM.

If there is a pastoral need, do not hesitate to contact us. We are available and here for you. Know that in the midst of this,  we may be on different boats; but, we travel through the same storm. In the midst of this storm, Jesus our captain, continues to guide our boats and we experience the presence of the Holy Spirit as we continue to heard towards the shore.

Please continue to pray for the world during this pandemic,
For our global, national, and local leaders;
For those whose work is deemed essential;
For healthcare workers;
For those on the margins in society;
For scientists who are working on a vaccine, and
For your parish of St. Anne’s.

Below is a prayer that has given me comfort during this time. It is from the Diocese of Exeter:

Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy
in this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may rejoice in your comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.   Amen.

Yours in Christ’s Love,
