Harrison Sayre Award - Apply Now!

All graduating high school seniors who plan on attending a two or four college or university this year are invited to apply for the Harrison Sayre Award which is given in memory of a longtime member at St. Anne’s. The $1,500 award is intended to help defray the cost of textbooks and other expenses.

An applicant should have been active in some aspect of St. Anne’s parish life – choir, acolytes, youth group, Sunday School, cooking for the Light House, etc. and active in the community. In addition to the application, a brief letter of recommendation from an adult at St. Anne’s under whom the applicant has served is required.

There are two steps to apply.

  1. Fill in and submit an online application by April 29.

  2. Have an adult at St. Anne’s under whom you served e-mail a brief recommendation to Fr. Dion Thompson at dthompson@stannes-annapolis.org by April 29.

The selection committee consisting of members of the Sayre family, the memorials committee, and one of our clergy will meet in May to select the award recipient.  The award will be announced during the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, June 2nd. A check will be mailed to the recipient when he/she enrolls in the fall.
