  • Revelation: The Victory of the Lamb

Our Adult Forum pilgrimage will continue as we read the Book of Revelation. Christ will be ever present, writing letters and casting visions, beginning on Sunday, April 27, through Sunday, June 8, after the 10 a.m. services in the Parish Hall.

St. John the Divine’s letter to the seven churches is a unique and fascinating testament to the Christian faith. As a letter written from prison, it stands with the great epistles of St. Paul, the prison letters of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Martin Luther King Jr.’s Letter from a Birmingham Jail. Fr. Dion will lead a conversation about the question: What would Jesus write to St. Anne’s? on April 27.

Tom May, formerly of St. John’s College, will help us experience the world of visual art inspired by Revelation on Sunday, May 4.

Our musical team of J. Ernest Green and Larry Molinaro will bring the hymnody of Revelation to life on Sunday, May 11.

Dr. Jennifer McNeel from St. Mary’s Ecumenical Institute will speak about female representation in Revelations on Sunday, May 18.

We’ll end our pilgrimage on Sundays, June 1 and June 8, under the guidance of Dr. Mike Gorman, who explored the many intriguing aspects of the epistle in his book Reading Revelation Responsibly. We’ll witness the titanic battle that leads to the destruction of Babylon and the victory of the Lamb. The New Jerusalem will descend. The holy fire of Pentecost will touch our souls. And, we will close with the expectant prayer of all Christians: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

On Demand Bible Studies

  • The Bible Challenge

The Bible Challenge is an on-demand program that invites the laity of St. Anne’s to read through the bible. This program includes a list of readings and recorded discussions with scholars and theologians who shared their insights on passages and themes of interest. This program also includes recorded presentations by many of St. Anne’s ministries to see how God’s grand narrative of salvation and healing is at work in our daily lives.

Our hope is that by being aided by Christian and non-Christian thinkers, we will deepen our understanding of the sacred text, challenge our assumptions, find new ways to engage with God's Word and live our faith.

  • Acts of the Apostles

“And you will be my witnesses…”

Acts is one of the essential texts in the New Testament. Without it, we would not know the story of how the Christian community developed or how the faith spread from Palestine to Rome. St. Luke tells us that story in an action-packed narrative powered by the Holy Spirit. It is part two of his magnum opus; the first being the Gospel of St. Luke.

  • Gospel of Luke

“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my savior!” This study includes the acclaimed film version of the gospel as we discuss verse-by-verse.
