Meet 2024 Grant Recipient: LSF
In 2024, St. Anne’s awarded a grant to the Little Sisters Fund (LSF), which has goals to 1) to break the cycle of poverty in Nepal through access to education; 2) to lower the incidence of child marriage, child labor, and child trafficking in Nepal; and 3) to increase women’s empowerment and gender equity in Nepal. The St. Anne’s grant allowed LSF to provide 9 young girls from the poorest and most marginalized families in Nepal access to education, mentoring and community support through the LSF School Scholarship Program. The funding covers tuition, books, school supplies, and preventative health supplies, and enables individual mentoring, counseling and self-awareness support. LSF was founded by Trevor Patzer, who lives in Edgewater. For more information about LSF, contact Trevor at trevor@littlesistersfund.org.
