A Pilgrimage through the Psalms of Ascent: March 19-April 16

Pilgrimage through the Psalms of Ascent: Wednesdays at 7 p.m. on Teams, March 19, 26, April 2, 9, and 16.

The pilgrimage through the Psalms of Ascent, a time of spiritual reading and reflection, will be online at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 26, April 2, 9, and 16. Fr. Dion will lead the first two sessions, and Br. James Dowd will take the remaining three that take us up to Holy Week. The Psalms of Ascent are Psalms 120-134 and are the psalms ancient Jewish pilgrims, including Jesus, sang on their way up to Jerusalem.

We'll begin with these words: "I was glad when they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the LORD.'" Psalm 122:1

And we will end with the following: "Behold now, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, you that stand by night in the house of the LORD." Psalm 134:1

Brother James Dowd is the founding prior of The Benedictine Way, a monastic way of life dedicated to prayer, service, and community. Before becoming a prior at the Incarnation Monastery in Omaha, Neb., he served at monasteries in West Park, N.Y., and Grahamstown, South Africa. Before becoming a monk, Dowd had a career in theater and television.
