Welcome Advent with Lessons and Carols! Dec 1 at 5:30 p.m.

Welcome Advent with Lessons and Carols!

On Sunday, December 1, we will celebrate and observe the first Sunday in Advent with an evening service of Lessons and Carols.  Modeled after the fabled Kings College Christmas Lessons and Carols services, this beautiful service focuses on the prophecy of the coming of the Messiah into the world.

Along with congregational hymns for the season, the service will include the following carols sung by our Choir with organist Larry Molinaro and directed by Music Director, J. Ernest Green, and the women’s ensemble Cantori, conducted by Laurie Hays:
    • Matin responsory - Palestrina/arr. Cleobury
    • Adam lay ybounden - Boris Ord
    • I sing of a maiden - Hadley (Cantori)
    • The Lamb - Tavener
    • E’en So, Lord Jesus Quickly Come - Manz

The service begins at 5:30 and will last about an hour and is the perfect way to start your season of preparation for Christmas!
